A NEW CHAPTER

An offering of support for those seeking to Restore + restart after Hurricane Helene

THE RIVER ARTS DISTRICT
Less than two miles from my home

On September 27, 2024, Hurricane Helene turned Western North Carolina, our home, upside down.

It’s up to us to preserve and restore what we love about Asheville and Western North Carolina. I have personally supported several local businesses and organizations as I’m able in order to help with recovery, but I am committed to doing my part as a designer in this community to keep the things I cherish alive and help bring forth new chapters for those who need to turn the page on Helene.

To help Asheville turn the page following Hurricane Helene, Helle Creative is offering special rate reductions on select branding packages, custom website packages, and design projects for businesses and individuals significantly affected by the natural disaster in Western North Carolina.

Project rates will be reduced from 10% up to 50% depending on your need, my availability, and our compatibility.

New or refreshed branding, updated assets, a stunning and effective website, revamped print materials — like new menus, refreshed proposals, etc. — and more can all be tools to help you start your new chapter after Helene. I want to make a fresh start (or restart) more accessible and more successful for the members of my community that need it most following this unprecedented natural disaster.

How to Apply

Please click on the link below to apply for a reduced rate for a new branding, print, or web design project you’re embarking on. Applications will be reviewed by me, Claire Allen (owner of Helle Creative) and support will be applied as appropriate and based on your response to the application form.

THE
DETAILS

  • These reduced project rates are intended for businesses and individuals who are based in Asheville, North Carolina and the surrounding areas and that were significantly affected by Hurricane Helene and her aftermath. My goal is to help you get started — or restarted — on the right foot, easing your transition back to doing what you do best and providing a foundation for your long term success with a revived or new venture.

  • The following services may be reduced as part of this New Chapter Support Offering:

  • I’m hoping to lend my skills and expertise to the potential clients best suited for what I can offer. Applications will be reviewed and reduced rate recipients will be selected based on the following criteria:

    • NEED
This offer is intended for those affected by Hurricane Helene but, as we all know, most of us in WNC were affected by the hurricane in one way or another. Perhaps your business didn’t get featured in national news, but you might still need some help with a fresh start. Your application responses will help me gauge 1) how you might benefit from our collaboration and 2) what level of support I can offer.

    • AVAILABILITY
Though many of my clients were affected by the hurricane, most existing projects have continued to move forward in some capacity. This means that future project timelines will be subject to availability. Please indicate your desired timeline in your application and please keep in mind that my availability improves the more flexible your timeline is.

    • COMPATIBILITY
Like the other categories of limitations, this one is also, admittedly, subjective. My services are the most effective for clients that I’m the most compatible with. I work with a wide range of business sizes and industries, but I want to ensure that we’re the right fit so that your investment is as successful as possible.

  • Applications will be open for this reduced rate offering until April 30, 2025. This timeline only applies to the application window, it’s important to note that project start dates may or may not fall within that window. In other words, you can apply for a reduced rate within this application window, but your project may start some time later depending on your needs and my availability.

  • Like most of us in Western North Carolina, my business was also affected by Hurricane Helene. It’s aftermath has continues to cause complications, challenges, and losses. Despite these setbacks, I want to do my part in preserving and restoring the things I love best about my home.

If you are not in need of a rate reduction intended for those significantly affected by Hurricane Helene, please consider either referring Helle Creative to other businesses (perhaps beyond Western North Carolina) and please consider Helle Creative for a future collaboration yourself! The more projects I can complete at my standard rates, the healthier my business will be and the more reduced rate projects I can offer to those that may need them in the WNC community. • Like many in WNC, this is my first time navigating a natural disaster of this scale. We are all navigating unfamiliar waters for the first time. I do not plan to have a set number of reduced rate projects to distribute as I do not know how this offer will be received. If you are interested in applying, please do so knowing that I intend to help as many businesses as I can.

  • Existing and previously scheduled projects will not be applicable for this rate reduction, nor will services or packages that have already received reduced rates (for example, you already receive a non profit rate reduction). But, if you are a current or previous Helle Creative client that has been affected by Hurricane Helene and you’re seeking support for your current business or future venture, you are welcome to apply for support. I value my long term client relationships highly; as a result, over 80% of Helle Creative clients come back for a second collaboration (or more).

  • I work within a wide range of businesses from local coffee shops to regional environmental non profits. Recently featured clients include the Asheville Downtown Association, the Asheville Symphony, Asheville’s three Dobra Tea locations, Explore Asheville, The Daily Grind, and many more.

You can take a look at my portfolio for examples of different projects over the years to help you determine how best we can work together. Don’t see a business that looks exactly like yours? Don’t worry, that’s the case for almost every Helle Creative client and we can still work together towards a more successful future.

Let’s work together to turn the page, whether it's a new chapter in the story of your current business or it’s the first in a new tale you're going to tell.
